Hello Be-YOU-tiful soul,

I’m so grateful you are here

Pour yourself a cup of warm lemon water or green juice, get cozy, let’s get to know each other!

Hi, I’m LouLou, Board Certified Integrative Health Practitioner and Transformation Coach, and the founder of Bring Healthy & Happy Back.

My Body Wasn’t the Problem.

It Was the First Thing That Told Me the Truth.

Nearly thirty years ago, I forgot I mattered.

I was a single mom doing everything I could to keep us afloat. Every decision revolved around my son, and every dollar already had a job before it reached my hands. Some days there was only enough food for him. So he ate, and I didn’t.

I wasn’t trying to lose weight. I was just surviving. And when the depression set in, I stopped eating almost completely.

People noticed. They commented on how thin I was, and some even asked if I had bulimia. I’d smile, go home, close the door, and cry. I thought something was wrong with my body. Maybe this is just how I am, I told myself.

What I couldn’t see then, I see clearly now. I wasn’t only starving for food. I was starving for myself. I’d gotten so good at taking care of everyone else that I had quietly stopped taking care of me.

The day my life split in two

Then, at a routine appointment, my doctor found cancerous cells growing in my uterus.

I sat alone in my car afterward and sobbed. One thought kept running through my head: What if I don’t get to watch my son grow up?

My life split into a before and an after right there in that parking lot.

The next step they offered was a procedure, and something inside me very quietly said, not yet. I asked for six months. Not because I had a plan, because I didn’t. I just believed my body deserved to be understood before anything else happened to it.

I prayed for guidance. A few days later, I heard a radio program about the healing power of food, and that was all the opening I needed. There was no Google, no YouTube, no Instagram. There was the library, and I practically lived there, reading every book I could find on nutrition and natural health.

I changed everything. Processed food, sugar, gluten, dairy, and coffee all went. People laughed at my green drinks. (I was juicing long before it was cool, and trust me, it was not cool yet.) They told me one bite wouldn’t hurt. They thought I’d become obsessed.

But they could only see what was on my plate. They couldn’t see what was happening inside me.

The question that changed everything

Somewhere in those months, I realized food was never the whole story.

At first I asked myself, why do I keep choosing foods that don’t love me back? Then a harder question showed up: why do I keep choosing anything that doesn’t love me back? The relationships. The friendships. The situations I stayed in too long. The habit of putting everyone first and myself dead last, every single time.

I wasn’t living from love. I was living from survival. And a lot of what I’d been calling love was really just familiar. Familiar can feel so much like love that we never think to question it.

Then one question stopped me cold: What if I mattered too?

If I mattered, then what I fed my body mattered. The people I let close mattered. My peace mattered. My healing mattered. My life mattered

That’s when I understood the thing that has guided every decision I’ve made since. My body wasn’t the problem. It was the first thing that told me the truth. It had been trying to reach me for years, through exhaustion, through depression, through the weight I kept losing, through the symptoms I kept explaining away, and finally through cells that made me stop and listen. It wasn’t working against me. It was asking me to stop abandoning myself.

Six months later, I went back to my doctor. The cancerous cells were gone.

I’ll never know exactly what made the difference. What I do know is that I walked out of those six months a different woman. People assume that’s the end of my story, but it’s actually where it began.

Why I do this work

I spent the years that followed trying to understand one question: why do so many of us know what to do, and still struggle to choose ourselves?

That search led me to the hair test, which is now the heart of how I work. It gives me a way to listen to your body before deciding anything, and to look for clues that most approaches miss. Instead of guessing, we use your results to create a vitamin and mineral formulation and a plan made specifically for you.

But the hair test also confirmed something my own body had already taught me. The body never tells just one part of the story.

You can change your food, take the supplements, follow the plan, and do everything you’re “supposed” to do. But if the patterns underneath still tell you that everyone else comes first, choosing yourself will keep feeling hard.

That’s why I created Bring Healthy & Happy Back. We work with the whole picture: your body, your nervous system, your emotions, and the patterns shaping the choices you make.

Because they’re not separate. They never were.

If this feels familiar

Maybe you’re doing everything you’re supposed to do, and you still don’t feel like yourself. Maybe you’ve been told your labs look fine. Maybe you’re just tired of trying to figure it out on your own.

I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to sit in the car and cry because nobody has answers.

The day I realized I mattered was the day I stopped abandoning myself. And once I did, my body didn’t have to carry the message alone anymore.

Yours doesn’t have to either.
